About Bethesda Market

Bethesda Market is a family owned business that fills the needs of the community. The store was founded back years ago in the 1930's and continues on today. Since the thirty's the store has changed ownership many different times. In its recorded history it has changed owners 10 times. The original building is not the building that now stands. The building that now stands is only 15-20 years old.

As the story is told the couple that owned the building when it burnt down lived in the part of the store that has now been turned into the kitchen. Luckily for the couple the fire never reached the part of the building that they lived in. After the building burned to the ground and the details were worked out the community stepped up and helped the couple rebuild The Market. As of today Bethesda Markethas had no major fires of that sort and stands tall and is in great working condition.

We have great food, great service, and a wonderful atmosphere. Every morning there are 15 to 20 elders that come down for their morning biscuit and coffee. Every afternoon they relax on the big red benches and talk until they have tired themselves for bed.

Bethesda Market is one of the only good, old-fashioned places left!
